Sailing Champions League preparation is underway

The Sailing Champions League is taking place for the 2nd time with this year’s show being arranged at Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in Porto Cervo in Sardinia starting from 18th Sep and ending on 20th Sep, 2015.

The organizers stated that they were expecting thirty-two clubs from twelve countries to take part in the well-known transnational club contest. The members are eager to see who will beat the defending champs Royal Danish Yacht Club from Copenhagen to lift the trophy.

Just a year after the very first Sailing Champions League event, this year’s show in Porto Cervo at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda will attract a battle of best clubs in the national sailing leagues. The club contest with a standard format with short races lasting not over fifteen minutes on 1-design boats close to the shoreline was quite an important development for sailing.

The event last year was very successful that thirteen European nations as well as the United States were so charged up about the format that they brought in their very own sailing leagues in 2015 – which is being effectively ran by some Greece bareboat charter specialists.

Clubs from over twelve countries will be flying to Italy in the middle of September to challenge the defending champ Royal Danish Yacht Club, in the battle for the sought-after champion’s trophy from Robbe & Berking. SAP, the technology partner, will be offering the live telecasting from Friday to and Sunday. Audi and Rolex, the YCCS partners, will be backing the event while Quantum Sails is the technical partner of the event.
