Dare To Lead To Take Part In 2017-18 Clipper Yacht Race

The Clipper 2017-18 Round the World Yacht Race is all set to start on 20th August from Liverpool in the UK.

This year there will be a new entrant to the round the world race and this is the Dare to Lead. This new team partner of the 2017-18 Clipper Race will be promoting teamwork, leadership skills and determination among the international crew members.

The Dare to Lead is not a newbie as far as the Clipper Round the World yacht race is concerned. Its founder Dirk Van Daele has taken part in this event as a crew member in 2009-10 race. He said that the Clipper Race provides a unique challenge for the team as people from all backgrounds like privileged, underprivileged, novice, professional, etc., will grow together and work as a group to achieve the results. Each individual in the team will be able to unlock his potential during the race and become a leader in due course. This is why Dare to Lead is partnering with the Clipper Race to promote and develop the hidden skills and talents among each and every international crew member.

Dirk said that he is proud to see the ‘Dare to Lead’ team make an entry in the Clipper 2017-18 Race and is looking forward to a wonderful and action-filled journey of the team’s crew during the event, both on the race course and off it as well. It is looking to inspire the crew from over 40 nationalities during the race event. They will try to groom them to make use of the ocean challenges that they will be facing to bring in positive changes in their lives and their careers.

The Sapinda Rainbow Foundation Ambassadors will be the crew members of the Dare to lead team. Sir Johnston said that he was delighted to see Dare to Lead make a unique entry in the Clipper 2017-18 race.
